Laascaanood (PP News Desk) — Dahabshiil Group has today donated $50,000 to support relief efforts responding to the drought in North East State of Somalia.
Last week, the Federal Member State government called on businesses and humanitarian organisations to contribute towards mitigating the impact of the drought in rural communities.
A representative of Dahabshiil Group formally presented the donation to a committee established to coordinate the response in the affected areas. Dahabshiil Group is the first company to contribute financially to the North East State appeal.
Meanwhile, the company has also donated $100,000 towards drought mitigation efforts in Puntland State of Somalia.
