Six Questions for Dahir Mohamud Gelle

Garowe (PP News Desk) — Upon arrival in Garowe on Saturday Dahir Mohamud Gelle, a Presidential Candidate, held a press confrence. He said that the alliance of presidential candidates would spend more time listening than speaking.

In a country with no political parties his use of the word “We” sounded more alarming to many people. His press conference yesterday raised more questions about the plan of “opposition presidential candidates” to retake Villa Somalia in 2021.

Truly speaking: Dahir Mohamud Gelle says politicians have been lying to Somalis for far too long.

Puntland Post challenges Dahir Mohamud Gelleh to answer the following six questions:

1- You have stated that Somalis need to hear truth. You were a Minister for incumbent Somali Government, and Ambassador for the previous government. What is the truth you have just discovered? Aren’t Somalis wise enough to know when a politician lies to them?

2- You argued that leadership begins from Villa Somalia. How can a President whom a Federal Member State urges to withdraw the Somali Army in Gedo lead the country?

3- You used the word “We” several times. Who are the “We”? Why have you been unable to use “I” and state what you stand for as a Presidential Candidate? Did you think of the weird, political message that “We” conveys?

4- What is your position on Federal Member States that sign agreements with countries and foreign companies? Are the agreements Federal Member States signed with foreign companies to transfer the management of national infrastructures legally binding?

5- In what way will a new government formed by past leaders differ from the incumbent government?

6- Was it appropriate that former governments led by President Sharif Ahmed and President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud authorised repatriation of frozen Somali assets without the government controlling the whole country?
