Mogadishu (PP News Desk) — The Foreign Minister of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Ahmed Moallim Fiqi, responded to a tweet by Faisal Ali Warabe, a Finnish-Somali politician based in Hargeisa. “God is great. All we expect is that Al-Shabaab will take over Somalia in May or June,” Warabe tweeted in Somali.
His support for an internationally proscribed organisation drew the attention of Fiqi, who accused the “Somaliland administration” politician of openly supporting a terrorist group. “Your remarks reflect stupidity. You have already allowed your child to join ISIS, and now you have clearly aligned yourself with Al-Shabaab. Warabe must be blacklisted,” the Foreign Minister of Somalia tweeted.
Pro-secession social media activists have been exaggerating the hit-and-run attacks by Al-Shabaab terrorists in parts of Hirshabelle.
