Galkayo (PP News Desk) — The President of Puntland State of Somalia Said Abdullahi Deni earlier this week inaugurated a programme to vaccinate 100,000 children in Galkayo. The President has directed all Regional and District Governors to collaborate with the operators responsible for implementing the vaccination programme to raise awareness to prevent diseases. He urged the people of Puntland to ensure their children receive the vaccine.
The vaccination campaign, which aims to benefit 100,000 children, will be conducted across 177 centres over a period of seven days, with 20 teams of doctors and medical workers participating in the effort. The event was attended by members of the Puntland Parliament House of Representatives, the Council of Ministers, and was led by the Ministry of Health alongside health authorities at both the district and regional levels, as well as agencies working in partnership with the Ministry of Health.
