Mohamed Farah Nuh is being treated at Garowe General Hospital for wounds sustained during an attack by militias in Garowe.

Garowe (PP News Desk) — A Candidate for the parliamentary seat Hop#192 was wounded earlier today in Garowe. Assailants opened fire on Mohamed Farah Nuh, who was in his car.

Two other passengers have sustained injuries as a result of the attack. They are being treated at Garowe General Hospital.

A dispute over the parliamentary seat has resulted in the attack, a reliable source told Puntland Post. Election of prospective MP for the Hop#192 and other five seats is expected to take place tomorrow in Garowe.

It unclear whether the attempt on the candidate’s life will affect the electoral schedule. Puntland State government has not so far issued a statement on the incident.
