Job Description:

The Project Engineer will be responsible for all engineering and technical aspects of Amal Real Estate & Construction projects. The Project Engineer will schedule, plan, forecast, resource and manage all the technical activities aiming at assuring project accuracy and quality from conception to completion. The Project Engineer will provide technical analysis and advise on all project engineering tasks on site and guide project teams. The ideal candidate will have vast experience in civil and structural engineering and have worked on large scale projects. This role will require the candidate to travel to different project sites in the country to monitor project engineering and quality.

Project Engineer responsibilities include:

  • Planning, preparing, scheduling, coordinating and monitoring the assigned engineering projects
  • Monitoring compliance to applicable practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications
  • Monitoring construction works compliance to applicable construction plans and drawings
  • Interacting daily with clients, management and project teams to interpret their needs and requirements
  • Perform overall quality control of the work (budget, schedule, plans, personnel’s performance) and report regularly on project status
  • Assign responsibilities and mentor project teams
  • Implementing inhouse quality standards and assessment criteria
  • Cooperate and communicate effectively with project managers and project teams to provide assistance and technical support
  • Review engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions
  • Visiting prospective project sites and providing engineering insight and contributing to feasibility reports
  • Provide detailed BOQ for projects and construction drawings such as structural drawings

Requirements:

  • BS degree in Engineering or relevant field
  • Proven working experience as a Project Engineer with a minimum of 15 years experience
  • Excellent knowledge of design and visualisations software such as AutoCAD and Revit
  • Advanced MS Office and project management software skills
  • Familiarity with building rules, regulations, best practices and performance standards
  • Familiarity with occupational health and safety practices
  • Ability to work with multiple discipline projects
  • Project management and supervision skills
  • Report writing skills
  • Decision making ability and leadership skills
  • Time management and organization skills
