Boosaaso (PP News Desk) — Earlier today authorities in Boosaaso carried out the death penalty against Mohamed Abshir Muse, who was found guilty of killing Khaalid Cali Khaalid Aw Muuse, the deputy chairman for administration and finance at the University of East Africa in Bosaaso city several months ago.
A brief statement for the media issued by the Puntland Police Division of Boosaaso stated that the death penalty was carried after the first-degree court of Bari region found Muse guilty of premeditated murder.
On 29 July 2024, Mohamed Abshir Muse murdered Khalid Ali Khalid Aw Muse in the city of Boosaaso. Muse did not appeal the death penalty and stated in August that he would accept the court’s ruling.
