Mogadishu (PP News Desk) — The Finance Minister of Sool, Sanaag, Ceyn, and Khaatumo Interim Administration, Mr Abdiqani Hirad, told the Somalia National Television that the Federal Government of Somalia provides financial support to the administration. “The SSCK Finance Ministry receives significant subsidies from the Federal Government of Somalia. We look forward to the implementation of development projects through the Federal Government of Somalia. In addition, SSCK ministries work directly with the federal ministries” said Hirad.
Mr Hirad was attending an economic development conference in Mogadishu, where he shared his expertise, including the system the SSCK Finance Ministry had implemented to introduce revenue streams for the new administration in Las Anod. Recently, Hirad visited Buuhoodle as part of customs inspection duties to enhance tax collection and prevent tax evasion throughout SSCK territories.
The SSCK Interim Administration was established in 2023 on the basis of self-reliance initiatives, with SSCK constituencies generously contributing to recovery efforts following the seven-month-long shelling of Las Anod by the secessionist forces of the Somaliland administration.
