Somalia Prime Minister Condemns Arbitrary Displacement of Somali Citizens in Lasanod

Mogadishu (PP News Desk) — The Prime Minister of the Federal Republic of Somalia Mohamed Hussein Roble has denounced the arbitrary displacement of Somali citizens in Lasanod.

“It is deplorable that citizens from the southern Somalia are arbitrarily displaced in Lasanod. People of Lasanod must rise up against these violations. It is not deportation, it an undignified thing to do. Somalia belongs to us all. It is unfortunate that business people living in Lasanod get displaced simply because they are from Southern Somalia” said Roble.

Roble: “It is unfortunate that business people living in Lasanod get displaced simply because they are from South Somalia.”

Somaliland militias in Lasanod rounded up and robbed business people from South West State and took to Burtinle district in Nugaal, where displaced people were warmly welcomed by locals.

Meanwhile, the former Somalia Parliamentary Speaker Sheikh Adam Madobe condemned the mistreatment meted out to law-abiding citizens from South West state who lived in Lasanod. He called on Somaliland government to stop displacement of citizens. “We cannot understand the aim of the arbitrary displacement” said Adan.
