The International Monetary Fund proposed the experience-sharing session with Sudan, a country “that could benefit from … [Somalia’s] experience.”
“We have had a ninety minute virtual session with Sudanese Finance Ministry to share Somalia’s experience in reaching the decision point towards debt relief. We shared best practices that helped Somalia edge closer to debt relief. Out of 37 countries in the debt relief process Somalia has reached the decision point in record time” said Dr Beyle.
