Garowe (PP News Desk) — Pupils of a Garowe secondary schools today took to the streets to protest policy decisions about fees and teacher transfers.
Gambool Secondary School pupils turned out in large mumbers to express their satisfaction with the school fee increase and the transfer of more popular teachers to other schools in Garowe.

Angry pupils gathered at the school, forcing the school management to barricade themselves in the offices until the police arrived at the scene. Demonstrations affected some parts of Garowe city. Pupils hurled rocks at passing cars.

Puntland Post has learned that pupils had complained to the Ministry of Education about fee and teacher transfer policies.
Gambool Secondary School was one of the best performing schools in secondary school leaving examinations but has recently fallen behind in the rankings.
