The book, which was presented by the policy of the Puntland plan of action for children for the next five years, was launched today by the Puntland Ministry of Women Development in Garowe, the capital city of Puntland.
This book was prepared and implemented by the Puntland Ministry of Women Development and Family Affairs with cooperation save the children.
The opening ceremony of the new book was attended by the first lady of Puntland, cabinet ministers from the Puntland government, officials from the partners in Ministry of Women, including save The Children, and other Honorable guests.
The Minister of women Mrs. Maryan Ahmed Ali first described this new book claiming to be 8 units of policy of the Puntland plan of action for children, and thanked Save the Children for supporting this book.
The Minister of Education in Puntland, Abshir Yusuf Isse, welcomed the publication of this book’s policy plan of action for children and described as a heritage for the children of Puntland.
Official from Save the Children, Abdullahi Muse, said his organization has always been working with the Puntland government to improve the lives of children and underscored that this book gives particular importance to the Puntland children’s education, development and care.
Finally, the first lady of Puntland Hodan Said Isse, who advocates the rights of vulnerable people and especially the children, praised the Ministry of Women’s efforts to care for children and to monitor their own situation.
Also the first lady said she was pleased with this new book on the policy plan of action for the children that has highlighted the situation of children.
