United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) Somalia provides protection and assistance to refugees, asylum seekers, returnees and internally displaced persons in Somaliland, Puntland, Galmadug and central regions, South West States, Jubaland and Mogadishu. This is achieved through the Representation Office in Mogadishu and seven other offices spread throughout Somalia. UNHCR has a tradition of cooperation with both operational and implementing partnerships in providing protection and material assistance to persons of concern. Such cooperation covers a wide and constantly evolving spectrum of complementary and mutually supportive activities, which form basis for successful implementation of UNHCR’s Programmes.
