Mogadishu-(Puntland Post)-Al-Shabab issues a statement claiming responsibility for the Somalia airline laptop bombing on 2 February 2016 bound for Djibouti, targeting western intelligence and Turkish NATO Forces aboard an Airplen.

Targeting Senior Western Intelligence Officials
05 Jumad Al-Awal 1437 (13/02/2016) – On Tuesday 02 February 2016, corresponding to 23 Rabi’ Ath-Thani 1437, Harakat Al-Shabaab Al Mujahideen carried out an operation targeting dozens of Western intelligence officials and Turkish NATO forces aboard an airplane bound for Djibouti. The operation is part of a series of operations specifically targeting the Western and apostate intelligence infrastructure and included:
• December 2014 Halane Attack: a daring raid against the highly fortified Halane base – home to numerous Western spy agencies, including the CIA, MI6 and MOSSAD and also the command and Control centre for CIA surveillance and drone operations in Somalia. The operation killed at least 17 crusaders, including 2 white mercenaries.
• May 2014 Djibouti Explosions: multiple explosions targeted a restaurant frequented predominantly by French Crusaders and their NATO allies from the US, Germany, Belgium, and the Netherlands, resulting in more than 35 casualties.
• A series of operations in Mogadishu that eliminated dozens of senior apostate intelligence officials, district governors and hundreds of intelligence operatives.
Acting on accurate intelligence and extensive surveillance by HSM intelligence teams, Harakat Al-Shabaab Al Mujahideen carried out the airborne operation as a retribution for the crimes committed by the coalition of Western crusaders and their intelligence agencies against the Muslims of Somalia and so as to staunch the flow of Western crusaders into this Muslim land.
The attack comes at a time when Western intelligence agencies are increasingly pouring into the Somali capital from where they continue to conduct a string of clandestine operations directed against the Muslims of Somalia and, in particular, its Mujahideen vanguards. From their command and control centre in Mogadishu, Western intelligence teams provide aerial surveillance and intelligence assessments to support the African crusader’s military operations on the ground.
Western intelligence teams also conduct widespread surveillance on the local Muslim population and provide support to CIA’s drone operations in Somalia as the campaign of airstrikes from unmanned aerial vehicles continues to claim the lives of hundreds of innocent Muslims. In addition to that, hundreds of Muslim men and women are being held in degrading conditions in underground prisons run by the CIA in Mogadishu where they are routinely tortured and interrogated.
Going hand in hand with the military campaign of the Western and African crusaders, is another battle aimed at crippling the economy of the Muslims of Somalia. Turkey – a member of NATO and one of principal partners of the West in its war against Islam – is actively engaged in a destructive form of economic warfare against the Muslims of Somalia. Through seemingly benign projects, Turkey is gradually destroying the already fragile economy of the Muslims of Somalia, all in order to bolster the Western war effort and deprive the Muslims of their critical, yet extremely limited, resources.
The operation has also clearly highlighted the extent to which Western intelligence agencies are engaged in Somalia, underlining their almost complete control of the country’s economy, military assistance to the weak African crusaders at both tactical and operational levels and increasing influence over security related matters in the country. The US and Turkey, representing NATO, have also taken over investigation of the airplane incident from the apostate security forces.
And while the operation did not bring down the plane as Allah had decreed, it struck terror in the hearts of the crusaders, demonstrating to the disbelievers that despite all their security measures and the strenuous efforts they make to conceal their presence, the Mujahideen can and will get to them.
We chose our targets well. We know precisely who they are and so do the Western intelligence agencies operating in Somalia. And while we choose the location and timing of our targeted strikes, their success ultimately lies in Allah’s hands, in Him alone we trust and upon Him alone is our total reliance.
Harakat Al-Shabaab Al Mujahideen will continue to pursue the enemies of Allah, with a particular focus on all Western intelligence teams operating in Somalia. We will not refrain from employing every legitimate means in order to revive the glory of Islam, deliver Muslims from the state of humiliation and restore the dignity of our Muslim Ummah. We will leave no stone unturned in order to purify this Muslim land from the filth of the disbelievers and establish Islamic Shari’ah so that the religion of Allah reigns supreme.
